Premium quality CBD oil is more expensive. Why?

At the beginning of the CBD oil production process, the fields are sown with a variety of technical hemp, which is specially bred to have only a minimal THC content, but a high content of cannabidiol (CBD). After harvest, the seeds and leaves are removed, and only dried cannabis flowers are used to produce CBD. It is true that if you harvest, let’s say, a ton of cannabis, you will get about 50 to 70 kilograms of dry matter from it. And about 5% of this amount falls to CBD extract. In other words – you need a huge amount of raw material, from which you get a relatively small amount of final extract.

After the harvest, the CBD extraction itself comes into play. The CBD oil used in our products is produced by extraction using organic solvents, specifically butane. The decarboxylated plant mass is heated together with the liquid solvent, whereby the desired substance – CBD – is extracted. The solution is then filtered, the solvent evaporates to leave a CBD oil. Our oils are filtered so carefully that the CBD isolate remains completely pure. We regularly test it in laboratories, which confirm that it is really a 99.99% pure CBD oil.

Finally, terpenes, or aromatic compounds, are added to the CBD oil thus purified, which are usually again derived from cannabis plants. As you can see, the path that leads from the harvest of the plants to the extract of the CBD itself is relatively complex and costly. If you don’t want to cheat it at any stage and compromise on quality, which we definitely don’t want, the resulting CBD oil is quite an expensive raw material. And that’s why it pays to watch what quality you get for your money. You will find a really high percentage of CBD in our products, for example the refill for the inhaler contains 94% CBD oil. You can be sure that you get the maximum possible quality for your money.
